LEARN the causes, symptoms, homemade treatments & prevention of SWINE FLU(H1N1 INFLUENZA).
Swine flu or H1N1 influenza is a respiratory infection caused by a virus H1N1 in pigs. It was initially thought to transmit from pigs to humans in very local regions especially in people closely associated with pigs like farmers or pork processors. However the virus started to gain more potential due to mutations and infecting more humans. In 2009, H1N1 influenza was declared a pandemic. Back then, It was caused by a viral strain called H1N1 which has now evolved and is called H3N2. It is highly contagious viral infection and spreads quickly from person to person. Sneezing, coughing or holding germ covered surfaces like door knobs etc after touching nose or mouth can cause transmission of the disease.
