Fungal Nail Infection:

• Fungal nail infections are commonly caused by microscopic
fungi called dermatophytes

Symptoms:

• Discoloured & disfigured nails
• Thickening & chipping of nails
• Foul odour from nail bed

Causes:

• Lack of personal hygiene
• Exposure to moisture
• Wearing tight shoes
• Excessive sweating of feet
• Chemicals in soaps

Natural home remedy using lavender and tea tree oil:

Lavender oil has anti-fungal properties & aids in fighting the infection, tea tree oil is a natural antibiotic

1. Add 3 tbsp of tea tree oil in this
2. Mix well
3. Keep this cup in a larger bowl filled up with warm water
4. Once the oil mixture is warm, dab a cotton ball in the solution
& apply it in the affected area
5. Do this 2-3 times a day

Natural home remedy using vinegar:

Vinegar can change the pH level of the skin & make it difficult for the fungus to grow

1. Add ½ cup warm water in a bowl
2. Add 4 tbsp white vinegar to it
3. Mix well
4. Soak your nails in this solution for 15-20 min
5. Do this twice everyday until the fungus is totally gone
6. Make sure you dry the affected area after using this remedy

Tips:

• Keep your feet clean & dry
• Socks must be washed and changed regularly
• Avoid exposing the nails to any harsh chemicals
• Avoid walking bare foot
