Urinary Tract Infection:

• Urinary tract infection occurs when the bacteria enter and multiply in the urinary tract
• The urinary tract consists of:

o Urethra
• Women are more prone to this infection

Symptoms to look for:

• Constant urge to urinate — although the urine passed is minimal

Causes:

• During intercourse, the penis can push the bacteria from the vagina into the urethra
• Holding urine for too long weakens the bladder. A weak bladder is unable to empty all the urine at one go causing infection
